Great Arts. Period. presents violin duo Fifth Mirror on a tour of the changing nature of virtuosity through the centuries. Violinists Hannah Tate and Lucia Atkinson perform works from the elegant, restrained virtuosos of the classical period to the complex, gymnastic works of the modern era. Featuring pieces by Sirmen, Saint-Georges, Prokofiev, and others, Fifth Mirror explores two centuries of composers stretching the limits of expression and physical possibility on the violin.
